Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Eddie Digital Solutions, we strive to provide exceptional digital, IT, and development services to our clients. Because of the custom nature of our work—including Custom Website & E-Commerce Development, Mobile App Development, IT Strategy Consulting, and Generative AI Agents—we have established the following refund and cancellation policy.
By engaging our services and paying a deposit or invoice, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Project Deposits
Most projects at Eddie Digital Solutions require an upfront, non-refundable deposit (typically 30% to 50% of the total project cost) before any work commences. This deposit secures your spot in our development queue and covers the initial strategy, research, and setup phases.
- Deposits are strictly non-refundable once project research, wireframing, or development has begun.
2. Cancellation by the Client
We understand that business circumstances change. If you need to cancel or postpone a project, you must notify us in writing at Support@eddiedigitalsolutions.co.za.
- Pre-Launch Cancellation: If you cancel a project before it is completed, you will be billed for the number of hours worked or milestones achieved up to the date we receive your written cancellation notice.
- If the cost of the work completed exceeds the initial deposit, you will be invoiced for the remaining balance. If the work completed is less than the deposit, no further payment is required, but the remainder of the deposit will not be refunded.
3. Cancellation by Eddie Digital Solutions
We reserve the right to cancel or pause a project if a client becomes unresponsive for more than 30 days, continuously delays providing necessary content, or breaches our terms of service.
- In the event that we must cancel a project due to client-side delays or breach of contract, no refunds will be issued for funds already paid.
- If we must cancel a project due to our own unforeseen internal circumstances, we will refund you for any prepaid work that has not yet been delivered.
4. Refunds on Completed Work
Due to the digital and intangible nature of our services (e.g., code, design, digital architecture, and consulting), we do not offer refunds on completed services or delivered projects.
- We ensure client satisfaction by requiring your approval at various milestones (e.g., design mockups, beta testing) before moving forward. It is the client's responsibility to review and request revisions during these designated phases.
5. Third-Party Software, Hosting, and Domain Fees
Eddie Digital Solutions frequently purchases third-party services on your behalf, such as domain names, web hosting, premium plugins, or AI software licenses (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
- These third-party costs are strictly non-refundable. Once a domain is registered or hosting/software is purchased, the sale is final as per the terms of the third-party providers.
6. Maintenance, Support, and Retainer Contracts
For clients on ongoing IT support, SEO, or website maintenance retainers:
- Services are billed month-to-month or annually.
- You may cancel ongoing monthly services by providing a 30-day written notice prior to your next billing cycle.
- No pro-rated refunds are given for partially used months.
